In February 2020 Watershed Protection and Matilija Project partners initiated a series of “outward facing” Spring and Fall Updates for community members and stakeholders regarding MDERP technical studies, design and implementation plans, funding efforts, CEQA studies, and other recent developments. While the Spring 2020 Updates were held in person, all subsequent Updates were held virtually (and/or as hybrid meetings) due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Agendas, presentations and recordings for each Spring and Fall Update in 2020, 2021 and 2022 are grouped below in reverse chronological order. The more general Community Updates were hosted by the Ventura River Watershed Council (VRWC) in partnership with Watershed Protection and Project partners, while the more detailed Technical Updates were hosted directly by Watershed Protection with assistance from the Project’s technical consultants.

Starting in 2023, most future MDERP Updates will be hosted by Watershed Protection in accordance with the public involvement timelines and requirements for CEQA updates for each Project component; please see Ongoing CEQA Updates under Environmental Compliance for more information on those efforts.
